There was a moodboard challenge over at CUT to YOU in April, for which I made this layout. I was inspired by the title on the moodboard.

First I cut one of my favourite cut files from the April Release, the Scallop Banners cut file from the Dreaming paper of the Dear Lizzy She's Magic collection. It took some time to arrange each banner on the cutting mat that I traced one by one, so that the colours would be right.

I was playing around a little with my banners, but when I decided where my title should be, the layout was ready quick. I flipped some of the banners and in the gape beetween I put the title.

I put some fussy-cut flowers around my photo, wrote the journalling, and was ready. How do you like it?

A fenti oldal a CUT to YOU áprilisi moodboard kihívására készült. Nagyon megtetszett a cím (csak ússz!), pont illik a mostani helyzetre, amikor is az ember nem ért semmit, csak úszik az árral, és reménykedik, hogy a végén minden jó lesz...
Szóval, az egyik kedvenc vágófájlomat választottam az oldalhoz az áprilisi újdonságokból: a Scallop Banners vágófájlt. Dear Lizzy She's Magic kollekciójából választottam ki a Dreaming nevű papírt, aminek a színei hasonlóak a moodboardon lévő színekhez. Kis időbe telt, míg kiszámoltam és elrendeztem a vágás előtt az egyenként nyomkövetett bordűröket, hogy jól jöjjön ki a szín...
Fehér alapkartonra helyeztem el őket, kicsit játszottam az elrendezéssel, majd amikor kitaláltam, hogy hová kerüljön a cím, már csak meg kellett fordítani néhány bordűrt, és kész volt a háttér.
Kivágtam még néhány virágot a Magic papírból, megírtam a kommentet, és már készen is voltam.

All the Goodness of Today

Each year there is a crop for the Hungarian Scrapbook community, a weekend in spring, and an other in autumn. This spring our "camp" has to be postponed because of the pandemic COVID-19 :-(
There is always a photo-swapping challenge in these crops. I got the photo of Erika Győri.

The photo is quite happy so I chose the All the Goodness of Today cut file of CUT to YOU.

I cut it from smooth white cardstock and backed them with the 6"x6" paper pad from the My Favorite Story of Pinkfresh Studio.

I chose a beautiful blue paper for the background. Finally I added some floral cut outs, chipboard flairs and enamel dots.

Minden évben kétszer szerveznek a magyar scrapbookosok számára egy ún. scraptábort. Sajnos az idén tavaszit a koronavírus miatt el kellett halasztani :-(
A táborokban nagy hagyománya van az ún. fotócserés játéknak, amikor is előzetesen megkapod valaki fotóját (e-mailben), és azzal a fotóval kell készítened egy oldalt. Nagy kihívás mások ízlésének megfelelőt alkotni, vagy kilépni a komfortzónából, hogy megtéveszd a tippelő játékosokat (mert az alkotó megtippelése is a játék része ;-) ).
Én most nem hazudtoltam meg magam, mert amikor megláttam Győri Erika fotóját, egyből a CUT to YOU All the Goodness of Today vágófájlja jutott az eszembe. Sima fehér alapkartonból vágtam ki a fájlt a Silhouette Cameo 3 vágóplotteremmel. Ezután a Pinkfresh Studio My Favorite Story 6"x6" papírkészletének mintás papírjaival háttereztem. Háttérpapírnak ugyanebből a kollekcióból egy kék színű papírt választottam, hisz a fotó is kékes árnyalatú.
Néhány virág kivágattal, chipboarddal és enamel pöttyel díszítettem az oldalt. Nekem tetszik a végeredmény. Neked?

Easter Blessings - CUT to YOU

Hello there, Piroska is here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. April is here (can't believe it!) and Easter is coming. In Hungary there are many fun Easter traditions: on Easter Sunday the parents hide some chocolate eggs, bunnies in the courtyard in the grass (or in the flat), and say, the Easter Bunny has brought them. On Easter Monday the boys come to sprinkle the girls with perfume or water. My father used to wake me up with a glas of water on this day! :-P The sprinkling is essential for not fading like a flower, they say. The girls, in return, give them hand-painted eggs and treat them well with home made cakes and some drink. (it can have negative effects next day :-P )

I chose a photo of my daughter looking for some sweets hidden in the grass by the Easter bunny. For this layout I paired the Easter Blessings cut file with the Trio Flower Add On Cluster cut file. 

I used the Happiness collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio for my whole layout.

First I cut the Easter Blessings cut file from smooth white cardstock, then started backing them with several patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I cut 2 of the flowers from the Trio Flower Add On Cluster cut file, I used different patterned papers as I was not sure.

First I wanted to use a softer background, but didn't like it, so changed it to this darker one.

I arranged everything to create a line design. I added the cut flowers and the fussy-cut butterflies, and was ready.

Szia, örülök, hogy erre jártál. A fenti poszt 2020. április 2-án jelent meg a CUT to YOU blogján.

Sziasztok, itt Piroska a legújabb oldalammal. Április van (el sem hiszem!) és közeledik a Húsvét. Magyarországon több hagyomány is van, az egyik, hogy a szülők elrejtik a nyuszi ajándékát a fűben, vagy a lakásban, és a gyerekeknek meg kell találniuk azt. Húsvét hétfőn a fiúk meglocsolják kölnivízzel a lányokat, hogy nehogy elhervadjanak. Annak idején Apukám egy pohár vízzel ébresztett :-P Cserébe a lányok hímes tojást adnak a fiúknak, és megkínálják őket sok házi finomsággal és itallal, amitől másnapra megfájdul(hat) a fiúk hasa :-P

Az oldalamhoz egy két évvel ezelőtt készült fotót választottam, amikor is a barátainknál ünnepeltük a Húsvétot. Blanka és a többi gyerek a kertben eldugott ajándékok után kutatott, és jó sok csokit gyűjtött össze :-D A Easter Blessings vágófájlt valamint a  Trio Flower Add On Cluster vágófájl
választottam az oldalhoz, és Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness kollekcióját.
Először kivágtam az Easter Blessing vágófájlt sima fehér alapkartonból, és a kollekció 6"x6"-os papírkészletét használva mintás papírral háttereztem a vágófájlokat.
A Trio Flower vágófájlból kettőt vágtam ki különböző mintás papírokból, mert még nem voltam biztos benne, melyik illik a végén majd hozzá.

Először egy világos hátterű papírt választottam, de nem tetszett, így lecseréltem erre a sötétre. Nagyon jó a kontraszt, ugye? Az oldal elrendezéséhez a lineáris dizájnt választottam, még adtam néhány virág kivágatot és kézzel kivágott pillangót az oldalhoz, és már készen is voltam.

Let's Stay Home

I made this layout for an other challenge of Flóra Mónika Krč-Farkas at Pink and Paper Shop. This time she made a sketch, based on one of her old layouts. To topic is by Bogáta Batta: Create a layout with the title Stay At Home!

First I cut the Let's Stay Home cut file of Paige Taylor Evans from white smooth cardstock. 

Then I backed the cut file with patterned papers of the Gingham Garden collection of My Mind's Eye. 

I also matted the photos with some patterned papers of the collection. 

The photos were taken on the first day of online teaching from home. It was a challenge (and still is) , two of us teaching, one of us learning in the same time! Ha! 

I centered the title in the middle and arranged the photos and some embellishments as the sketch shows. Here is my layout of our #stayhomechallenge:

Szia, örülök, hogy erre jársz. Ma ismét egy Krč-Farkas Flóra Mónika (Pink and Paper Shop) kihívásra készült oldalamat hoztam el Neked.

A kihívás témáját Batta Bogáta találta ki: #maradjotthon témában kellett alkotni. Az ihletet pedig Flóra egyik régebbi oldalának vázlata adta.

Először kivágtam a Silhouette Cameo vágógépemmel Paige Taylor Evans Let's Stay Home vágófájlját sima fehér alapkartonból.

A vágófájlt az új My Mind's Eye Gingham Garden nevű kollekció mintás papírjaival háttereztem, a fotók mögé is ezeket helyeztem. 

A címet középre, a fényképeket és néhány díszítőelemet a vázlat alapján alulra rendeztem.

A fotó az első #távoktatás -i napon készült, amikor is külön kihívás volt (és azóta is az), hogy ketten itthonról tanítunk, és egyvalaki itthonról tanul...

You Are Beautiful - CUT to YOU

If you are signed up for the CUT to YOU newsletter, you got the Leaf Cluster cut file as a freebie in the second March newsletter. I loved working with that cut file, you can make beautiful layouts, clusters, post cards with it!
I have found an older photo of my daughter, she is so beautiful with her big eyes and a bang, I wanted to make a layout with it for a long time. I have chosen the Bohemian Dream collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I cut the cut file from the Abundant paper so that I can have a border for the layout as well.

On the other side of this paper are beautiful florals which I have fussy cut (and also from the other one - so good that there are 2 pieces of each design in a collection pack!).

I sewed the border behind a white cardstock and arranged the cut file to the left up corner and to the middle on the right. They look like wings :-D

I added some vellum flowers and the fussy cut flowers on the leaves, curling up the edges and adding dimension to some of them by foam adhesive. I wanted to have a lush floral background for my photo. This time I used the tiny fussy cut flowers instead of enamel dots to add more playfulness to the layout.

Finally I added the title chipboard, some phrasel stickers and cut outs. The stickers substitute my comments great, so I didn't add one this time.

Szia!

Ha feliratoztál már a CUT to YOU hírlevelére, a márciusi második levélben Te is megkaptad ingyen(!) ezt a vágófájlt. Imádtam vele dolgozni, nagyon szép oldalakat, képeslapokat lehet vele készíteni!

Ahogy a fotók között keresgéltem, a kezembe akadt egy régebbi fotó a kislányomról, ahol olyan cuki a nagy szemeivel és frufrujával, hogy már régebben meg akartam scrappelni. 

A Cocoa Vanilla Studio Bohemian Dreams kollekcióját választottam. Az Abundant nevű papírból vágtam ki a vágófájlt úgy, hogy maradjon keretnek is a papírból. Ennek a papírnak a másik oldala gyönyörű virágos - a maradék papírból (és még egy másikból is) kivágtam a virágokat (milyen jó, hogy a Collection Pack-ben minden papírból kettő van 😉) 

A fehér alapkartonból levágtam egy picit és végigszaladtam géppel a szélén. Ráragasztottam a kék keretre, és elhelyeztem a kivágott leveleket: a bal felső sarokban az egyiket, a másikat jobb középen.

Olyan, mintha szárnyak lennének! 😊

Elrendeztem a virágokat is, egy buja virágözönt akartam a fénykép alá. Az általam kivágott virágok mellett használtam még a kivágat csomagból és a pausz virágokból is.

Ez alkalommal enamel pöttyök helyett mini virágokat ragasztottam az oldalra, az összes virág szélét picit felfelé kunkorítva, hogy ne legyen olyan lapos.

Winter - CSI challenge

The Case No. 311 is:

I was inspired by the Winter To-Do List title - skating was on our Winter bucketlist for about 1-2 years, and this year our daughter has finally learnt how to skate! I was amazed how fast she learnt it! I definitely had to scrap this memory ;-)

This challenge is also good for stash busting! You MUST use your older collections - I chose an older Crate Paper collection, Snow and Cocoa, which I loved back then, and although I have made a December Daily with it, I still have plenty of items hanging around :-P 

I have chosen the Winter cut file of CUT to YOU for this layout. I cut out the title of a patterned cardstock and one of the snowflakes (4 times) of white cardstock.

First I painted the background with my PRIMA Confections Watercoulurs, as I wanted to highlight my daughter on the photos, who has also a pink anorak.

Then I arranged everything diagonal,added some embellishments, a longer comment (also a requierement for the case challenge), and was ready ;-)

A CUT to YOU  a CSI kihívások (lásd itt: http://csichallenge.blogspot.com/2020/02/february-case-files-second-reveal.html) egyik fő szponzora - ezért ma az egyik kihívás kapcsán szeretnélek inspirálni arra, hogy készíts egy téli témájú scrapbook oldalt. A kihívás feltétele között szerepel, hogy ne újonnan vásárolt kollekcióból, hanem a meglevő készletünkből dolgozzunk. 

Én a Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa kollekciót ástam elő, amiből bár készítettem anno egy December Daily albumot, még mindig van jócskán 😅

A Winter To-Do List (téli tennivalók listája) cím fogott meg a 311-es eset kihívásnál. Évek óta tervben van, hogy megtanítjuk Blankát korcsolyázni, de csak idén valósult meg ez a pont a téli bakancslistánkról! Eszméletlen, milyen gyorsan megtanulna, és milyen ügyes. Kár, hogy máris vége a télnek (ebből a szempontból)... 

A CUT to YOU Winter vágófájlt választottam az oldalhoz. A címet mintás papírból, az egyik hópelyhet (4x) fehér alapkartonból vágtam ki. 

Először a Prima Watercolours akvarellfestékkel megfestettem a hátteret, hogy hangsúlyt kapjon a kislányom a fotón a pink overáljában. Majd átlósan elhelyeztem mindent, írtam egy hosszabb kommentet (ez is a kihívás egyik lehetséges feltétele), és már készen is voltam.

Yay! This is The Best - CUT to YOU

Hi, Piroska here today with my latest layout. My daughter has just started school in September, and started to go to a Rock&Show course, as she just loves dancing. After couple of months she got the opportunity to go to a dance competition with her friends in January. This photo on my layout was taken by her teacher, who captured their happiness as they heard the good news. All the way home they were shouting: Yay! Yay! I am in! I'll go to the competition! :-D

I was very glad to find the Yay Yay Yay Background cut file in the CUT to YOU shop, as it matches my theme perfectly. I used a smooth white cardstock for cutting and chose a bright colourful background paper from the Unforgettable collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I wanted the cut file to pop as it is part of my title and important part of my theme.

I backed my photo with some patterned papers, cut out some butterflies and arranged my photo and a journal card with some floral cut outs on the bottom right corner of the layout. In order to balance the page I added some butterflies and stickers up into the left corner.

I also played with dimensions by using 3D foam adhesive and curling up the wings of the butterflies. I finally added some clear stickers, enamel dots, the title and foam hearts.

I love how easily you can make a page by using a background cut file! Look around in the shop, you can find some goodies ;-) And if you don't have a Silhouette Cameo or other electronic cutting machine, you can order the cutfiles as custom cuts! What a great deal! ;-)

Ma újra egy vágófájllal készült oldalt hoztam Nektek, amit a CUT to YOU számára készítettem. A kislányom szeptemberben kezdte az iskolát, és ezzel együtt táncolni is elkezdett. Pár hónap múlva, januárban meghívást kapott barátnőivel együtt, hogy részt vegyenek első Rock&Show versenyükön. Kitörő örömmel fogadták a hírt, a hazafelé vezető úton mást sem hallottunk, csak hogy: Hurrá! Mehetek a versenyre! :-D

Ezt az élményt feltétlenül meg kellett örökítenem. A fotóhoz a fényképet a tánctanárnő készítette, akinek ezúton is köszönet érte! <3
A CUT to YOU webáruházában bukkantam a Yay Yay Yay Background vágófájlra, ami tökéletesen illett a témámhoz. Sima fehér alapkartonból vágtam ki a fájlt, és egy élénk színű papírt választottam alapnak a Cocoa Vanilla Studio Unforgettable kollekciójából. Azt szerettem volna, hogy a vágófájl hangsúlyos legyen, hiszen az is a címem részét képezi, és a témát erősíti.

A fotó mögé néhány mintás papírt rétegeztem, kivágtam pár pillangót, és a kártyával, virág kivágatokkal együtt a jobb alsó sarokba rendeztem a fotót. Hogy kiegyensúlyozzam az oldalt, néhány pillangót és címkét tettem a bal felső sarokba is.
Játszottam egy picit a dimenziókkal is (ez annyira feldobja az oldalt!), néhány pillangót 3D ragasztóval rögzítettem, illetve felpödörtem a pillangó szárnyakat. Végül használtam még átlátszó matricát, enamel pöttyöt, dekorgumi címfeliratot és szívet az oldalon.

Imádom, hogy milyen gyorsan összeáll egy oldal egy ilyen háttér vágófájl segítségével! Nézz körül a shopban, sok kincset találsz! Ha nincs még Silhouette Cameo vagy más elektronikus vágógéped, akkor se búsulj, kivágatként is megvásárolhatod a vágófájlokat - és már Magyarországra is szállítanak! Ne hagyd ki a lehetőséget!

Love You & Me - CUT to YOU

Hi there, Piroska is here today with a romantic layout featuring a cut file from the February Release. This month's offer is full of love and hearts, which are perfect for those love-themed layouts or Valentine cards. Check them out - I just love them all!

These days are the 13th anniversary of getting to know each other with my husband. I've chosen the Love You & Me cut file for this occasion, from which I first wanted to make a pinky Valentine Day-ish layout, but then decided to take on the floral romantic line.

I cut the cut file from smooth white cardstock and used the My Mind's Eye Splendor collection for backing it. The florals in the file are so beautiful, I wanted to highlight them by backing the file with floral patterns and fussy cutting some flowers from a patterned paper. 

I chose a white spotted peach coloured cardstock as a background paper and glued the cut file with foam adhesive on it, in order to add some dimension to the cut file. I backed my photo, and added the fussy cut flowers and chipboard stickers to the cut file. I arranged them by composing a visual triangle, and I repeated it with the enamel dots as well.

I really love the result - what about you? Go and grab this cut file (and some others) from the shop and start creating a similar layout today!

Üdvözöllek, örülök, hogy benéztél 😊

Ma a CUT to YOU blogján megjelent scrapbook oldalamat mutatom meg. 

Mostanában van 13 éve annak, hogy a férjemmel megismerkedtünk. A februári vágófájlok között a Love You & Me virágos vágófájl jól illett a témához. Először rózsaszín-Valentin napi oldalt terveztem belőle készíteni, de végül a romantikus-virágos mellett döntöttem, mert a My Mind's Eye Splendor kollekciója remekül illett a vágófájlhoz. 

A fájlt smooth fehér alapkartonból vágtam ki, virágos papírokkal háttereztem, és 3D ragasztószalaggal rögzítettem a barackszínű pöttyös papírra. Kivágtam néhány csokrot az egyik virágos papírból és elhelyeztem őket vizuális háromszöget képezve. 

Ugyanezt megismételtem az enamel pöttyökkel is. 

Nekem nagyon tetszik a végeredmény. Te mit gondolsz róla?
